Pretty In My Mailbox

When I walked out to my mailbox yesterday I expected the usual... a few fabric swatches, bills, junk mail, etc. but instead I see a little package inside... from ELLA SCOTT JEWELS! I was so excited to rip the open the package to discover the most beautiful earrings... made just for me, and they are perfect. I haven't gotten around to taking a picture of them yet, but here are some of my favorite pieces off of Ella Scott Jewels' Etsy Site (I have so many faves I couldn't put them all here!) Good-bye Disposable Cameras!

Have you heard of The Wedding Lens? If you haven't, it's a really ingenious site where your wedding guests can upload all their digital photos to one album... that way you'll have them all in one place! It's a great way to conveniently collect and store all the fabulous photos your friends and family have taken of your special day. Now you can forego those silly disposable cameras that never produce any decent pictures anyway (my apologies to anyone who used them... but I've never been a fan). I explored The Wedding Lens website and found it to be very user friendly and surprisingly simple to use... go check it out and see for yourself, it's pretty sweet.

I've been meaning to post about this great little site for a while now. Name Birdie is a new site that helps newly married brides change their name with a few simple clicks. Basically they do everything for you, and who doesn't love that? Check it out if your in need of a simple fast way to change to your new married name.

Changing Your Name

I have a confession to make... I have been a total slacker in regards to officially changing my name. I know I know, I've been married for two years now and I still have a couple bills and other odds and ends in my maiden name. I keep putting it down on my to-do list every week but I never seem to check it off. I'm actually now thinking of investing in this name change kit. For the bride who has a lot on her plate and is constantly busy (like me!) I think this is probably the best option to get all the particulars done quickly and efficiently.

Get A Little Sticky

Thankfully my seamstress got my bridesmaid dress for my sisters wedding to fit me super tight so I don't have to worry about it shifting or even worse, falling down, while I'm dancing my little heart out this weekend. Unfortunately in the last wedding I was in, my top was still a little too big even after having it taken in. My lifesaver: Hollywood tape. Love that stuff. Just took two little stickies and slapped them right on to the top of my goodies and voila! Definitely good to keep handy- I think I'm going to run out today and get some to put in my sister's emergency kit.

I love finding new stationary... and I just stumbled upon a winner! You've gotta check out Paper Shouts Inc. How cute is that name?! All their categories are so adorable. "Love the One Your With"

I wouldn't call myself a big "reader". I'm not one of those people who craves a good book to read... I just don't have the time unfortunately. I do, however, always seem to get in the reading mood when I'm at the beach. There's nothing better than relaxing on the beach, in the sun, with your feet in the ocean and a good book in your hand. Last year at the beach I read "Something Borrowed" and "Something Blue" by Emily Griffin. I loved both of these books so at the beach this year I knew I wanted to read something by her and I found "Love the One Your With". To sum it up in one word: fantastic. I simply couldn't put it down. Anyone looking for a great read- here it is!
