Real Wedding: Aleen + Joseph

Talk about stunning... the gorgeous gold and cream color pallet Aleen & Joseph chose for their wedding is ultra luxe and regal. Their classic elegant monogram displayed on top of their menus coordinates with the decor perfectly. Their centerpieces are to die for but the real show stopper... the insanely over-the-top cake that is just perfection.

Real Wedding: Jen + Adam

Jen & Adam's uber glam monogram featured atop their super stylish menu cards was a perfect reflection of the sophisticated styling of their reception. I love Jen's reaction when she see the reception set-up for the first time... priceless. The lighting is perfection and totally takes everything to a whole new level. Beautiful!

Real Wedding: Alice + Nick

Couple Alice & Nick were married in Santa Monica, California and had a stunning wedding coordinated by Meta Manguy. They used a vibrant color pallet of tiffany blue, bright pinks, and white... super fun but still glam & classy at the same time. Their monogram was proudly displayed on their programs as well as their favor boxes that awaited guests at their seats. They also used a more intricate monogram on the top of their cupcakes... and speaking of cupcakes, how sweet are these little beauties?! Alice & Nick's gorgeous day was captured by the incredible duo at Palos Studio.

Real Wedding: Jennifer + Erik

This pretty purple pallet is simply delightful. The bouquets and floral arrangements by Valley Flora are so fun and flirty and they exude happiness. The couple used a traditional three initial monogram but made it a little more contemporary by having the initials on a diagonal and in both a script & block font. The monogram appeared on their lovely lavendar menu cards as well as their darling cake by Perfect Endings. The wedding was coordinated Traci Steuteville of Napa Valley Celebrations and of course was photographed by the wonderfully talented Joel Flory.

Real Wedding: Kelly + Paul

Photos by Eleise Theuer Photography

Kelly & Paul had a soft, romantic color pallet and incorporated their monogram throughout, starting with their yummy letterpress invitations that I'm completely smitten with, using just the couples first initials. Their initials resurfaced on the ceremony doors, and their married monogram was subtly displayed on the beautiful cake. Kelly also had a monogram dress tag for her gorgeous gown using her pre-married monogram. These are all great examples of the different ways you can incorporate many different versions of monograms throughout the wedding. The couples incredible florals were created by Janie Medley of JM Flora, and their fabulous day was captured by Eleise Theuer Photography.

A Little Monogram with your Coffee?

You really can put your monogram everywhere... how adorable is this on the coffee mugs? Get creative... think outside the box (or outside the mug!)

Real Wedding: Celina + Jacob

This soothing soft green and chocolate color pallet Celina & Jacob used is so pleasing to the eye... loving how the monogram is the only element on the front of the programs and is the first thing to introduce guests to the color scheme and styling of the ceremony and reception.

Picture this...

It's so hard to figure out how to arrange all those wonderful wedding photos- why not create your own personal wedding gallery? That's what I decided to do in our new bedroom. I knew that I had specific photos that I was drawn to and wanted to display but figuring out which ones should be larger, which should be smaller, which should be placed higher, which ones should be placed lower, etc. was a headache. So... I decided to go for a clean simple gallery look- all the phots are 8x10's in the same matted frames hung in two simple even rows. I tried to alternate between the "zoomed-in" and "zoomed-out" photos (forgive my lack of technical photography terms) to create an interesting flow. I love the end result!

Calendar Guestbook

I loved our Polaroid Guestbook that we did for our wedding- it was very interactive and much better than the typical "sign your name on the line" guestbook. If you're looking for another unique guestbook ideas check this one out:

Create a Photo Calendar that starts in the month you get married. Have your guests sign anywhere they'd like on the calendar- maybe on their own anniversary or birthday. Then you have a full year of reminders of special dates and events and each month you can have fun reading all the messages from your guests!

Our Story Board

I've been totally inspired by the story boards that brides have been posting over at WeddingBee. When I first began planning I too created a story board and was searching through my files to try and find it so that I could share. Well... no luck, I forgot it was saved on my old computer. But then I started thinking, hey wait a minute... I'm already married! So instead of a pre-wedding storyboard, here is our post-wedding storyboard (even better right?!) with all my favorite details. Credit of course to our fabulous photographers Enigma Pro!

Name that table!

Why just stick with boring old table numbers when you can personalize your tables with names that have meaning to you and your fiance? Choose anything from movies you've seen together to places you've traveled. So the question is... what should you name the tables? Start by thinking about where and how you met. Perhaps you met at college- you could name each table after a building on campus. When my hubby and I were deciding on what to name our tables it was pretty easy. We were both collegiate cheerleaders and met teaching cheerleading camps... so it was an obvious choice when we decided to use the name of co-ed cheerleading stunts as our table names. To go along with these, my lovely little sis came over and took pics of us doing each of the stunt to accompany the name. On the back of each card we wrote the story of how we met and how cheerleading brought us together. Our guests loved it and it was a wonderful way to put a personal touch at each table.

While naming tables can be a unique touch, it can also get confusing for your guests if they go looking for table "Torch" so be sure to add a number along with each table name so guests can still easily find their tables. To help our guests find their tables we used the wording:

Mr. and Mrs. John Doe

You are seated at Table 9: "Cupie"

Anyone else plan on using table names? Share your ideas!

Ooh la limo!

No longer must brides and grooms choose from the standard limo options... before the big decision was whether you wanted a black limo or a white limo- now you can choose from a variety of "stretches" from Hummers, Corvettes, PT Cruisers, Navigators, Escalades, even Jeep Wranglers (my hubby would've loved a stretch jeep!)... you name it, they can stretch it. Check out these fun limos- the first set are images found at Big Limos and the rest are flickr finds.
