It was quite the happy accident. After my own wedding in June 2006, I shared several of my wedding pictures on a popular wedding message board. I started getting contacted by brides who had seen my photos asking if I would be able to recreate some of the items I created for my own wedding for theirs. I was of course happy to help anyone who asked and word spread like rapid fire. I received so many e-mails daily that out of sheer necessity, I developed a website where brides could easily access answers to their questions about my creations and place orders. And thus, I Do Originals was born!
There are so many contributing factors into the success of I Do Originals but most importantly I’d say customer satisfaction is number one. This company was built on word of mouth and 99% of our orders are referrals from brides who have previously used our services. I’m thankful that brides are so appreciative of the services we offer that they persistently refer us on message boards, blogs, facebook, twitter, etc. to other brides in need of custom wedding décor and accessories.
What do you like best about your job?
There’s nothing more thrilling than seeing something we’ve created in real wedding photos. I get so excited every time a client sends photos from their wedding day of the custom items that we created for them. The fact that they took the time to share their wedding photos with us shows how much they were able to enjoy their custom items.
Having one of our runners featured in TheKnot Magazine (Best of Weddings 2009 edition). It is an indescribable feeling to have your work recognized in a major national wedding publication.

Kristin's Official Bio:
Kristin was born and raised in the suburbs of Philadelphia, PA. She graduated from Radford University with her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and continued on to graduate school at Virginia Tech where she received her Master’s Degree in Counselor Education. Kristin is currently the CEO of I Do Originals, an e-commerce company specializing in personalized wedding décor and accessories, and just recently launched I Do Monograms, an online wedding resource for monogrammed wedding goods. Kristin resides in Roanoke, Virginia with her husband and basset hound.
